A Los Angeles home that was scene to the gruesome 1969 Manson family murder of super market chain owner and his wife has gone back on the market for $2.2million, after it was briefly purchased last summer for a lower price.

The single-story 1920s Los Feliz home has been listed on Redfin since Tuesday, again by agent Robert Giambalvo.

Its price of $2,200,000 is just a couple hundred thousand dollars more expensive than the $1.98million asking price when the home was put for sale in July 2019. Ghost Adventures host Zak Bagans bought the home last year, House Beautiful reported at the time.

Previous owners of the home, located on Waverly Drive, were supermarket chain owner Leno LaBianca and his wife Rosemary, who were brutally murdered by followers of cult leader Charles Manson on August 10, 1969.

The ‘one of a kind’ 1,655-sq-ft home comes with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and offers ‘breathtaking, unobstructed front and back views.’

Located just north of the Rowena Reservoir, the home has front views of downtown LA and the Silver Lake hills. Back views include Griffith Park, Glendale and the San Gabriel Mountains.

The massive living room comes complete with a gas fireplace and Italian tile floors that open up to a formal dining room. The dining room has a covered patio that does overlook the large pool sitting in the back of the house.

The 31,000+ square foot lot offers ample privacy as mature fruit trees line the property.

‘You may never want to leave, but when you do, you are minutes away from Griffith Park Observatory and trails, trendy eateries and entertainment,’ the listing reads.

Last year when the home was went for sale with the lower price, Giambalvo told CBS LA that it was going to be ‘interesting’ to see whether the home’s history would hinder its ability to sale.

‘I talked to a lot of people to try to figure out, is it a detractor, or is it not a detractor? It’s all over the board,’ he said at the time.

‘It’s been nearly 50 years, I’m not so sure that it’s going to be a big deal for some people.’

The events that took place in the home nearly half a century ago were described in detail by Manson follower Leslie Van Houten, who currently in prison for the murders.

They used the blood to write ‘Healter Skelter’ on the refrigerator – a misspelled reference to The Beatles song ‘Helter Skelter’.

While the original song, released the year before the murders, was about an amusement park slide, Manson used the phrase to describe an apocalyptic scenario in which all white people would be slaughtered.

The LaBianca slayings and the murders of actress Sharon Tate and four others the night before were intended to provoke the race war their leader had prophesied.
