Warning over fake $1 Kmart Halloween blood which is ‘IMPOSSIBLE’ to get off your skin as horrified mums show their red stained hands

A costume mishap has left trick-or-treaters red handed the night before Halloween.

Horrified parents have been sharing photos of their stained hands after using Kmart’s $1 fake blood. 

The Halloween enthusiasts are warning others about applying the product, after finding out it was nearly impossible to remove.

‘Don’t, I repeat don’t, put this fake blood on your kids faces for Halloween. Damn thing stains,’ one mother wrote.

The caption was posted alongside a picture of a stained red hand.

She wasn’t the only parent who was caught out by the product’s long-last effects.

‘I used it on my daughter’s face last year lol big mistake haha poor kid,’ another wrote. 

‘Yep we made this mistake and the kids had to miss some days off school,’ a third added.

‘Lesson learnt: wear gloves with Kmart’s $1.50 fake blood,’ she wrote.

But others chimed in with ways to nifty tips for removing the unwanted stains. 

‘Scrub your hands with toothpaste. Weird but it worked for me,’ one wrote.

Others suggested fake tan remover or coconut oil.  

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Kmart for comment.
